FOODEX Japan - March 2024
FOODEX Japan is one of Asia's leading food and beverage trade shows. Attracting over 76,000 visitors (wholesalers, manufacturers, retailers, trading companies, hotel-related suppliers, buyers, etc.) across 4 days, the 2024 event provided an opportunity to develop relationships through face-to-face connections and to generate business meeting opportunities between exhibitors and highly qualified buyers.
The Department participated in FOODEX Japan 2024 alongside Austrade, AusVeg and five other Australian states in a co-located Australian Pavilion. The Tasmanian Trade Advocate – Japan, Mr Joe Gayton, was in attendance supporting exhibitors through introductions, interpretation and other assistance throughout the duration of the event. A TASMANIAN networking event was also held for existing and new Japanese buyers and supporters of Tasmanian products and produce, which followed-on from an in-market retail tour, meeting with existing buyers of Tasmanian products.
