Business funding programs

We offer grants and funding programs to eligible businesses. Programs are often linked to government priorities such as creating jobs, building sustainable industries, or strengthening regional communities. While each program can focus on different priority areas, grants often focus on supporting business growth or specific business activities such as research and development, innovation and exporting.

To help you locate grants and funding opportunities relevant to your business, the Business Tasmania website has a search tool called the Grant and Funding Finder Tool. Use the finder tool to search for grants and funding programs available for Tasmanian businesses, including opportunities offered by the Australian Government.

The Tasmanian Government encourages and supports Tasmanians to start new businesses.

The New Business Support Service can assist you with free advice to get you started. If your small business is already up and running, you can access advice through the Tasmanian Business Advice Service.

Both of these services offer free support to assist you write a grant or loan application.
