Korea Australian Showcase & FOODEX Japan 2026

Korea Australian Showcase & FOODEX Japan 2026

The Tasmanian Government supported Tasmanian food and beverage businesses to attend two coordinated opportunities in Asia during March 2026:

  • Australian F&B Showcase (Seoul, Korea) — Austrade-led standalone Australian food and beverage showcase and business-matching event on 5 March 2026.
  • FOODEX Japan 2026 (Tokyo, Japan) — Japan and Asia’s leading food & beverage trade exhibition, attracting over 72,000 visitors, and participants from 80 countries, over four show days from 10 to 13 March 2026.

Bringing these two activities together allowed exporters to attend both events in one Asia trip to maximise buyer meetings and market exposure.

Korea Australian F&B Showcase 2026

Austrade hosted an Australian F&B showcase, a stand-alone promotion and business-to-business matching event, to connect Australian food and beverage businesses with Korean buyers in Seoul on 5 March 2026.

Hosted at The Shilla Hotel, the key objective of this event was to create high-quality business matching opportunities with importers, distributors, major retailers and HORECA buyers in the Korean market. Over 300 buyers were invited to meet with around 50 selected Australian food and beverage businesses.

As a participant in this event, Austrade provided:

  • Export guidance including regulatory updates and a pre-departure briefing web page.
  • Business matching at the Australian F&B Showcase.
  • Follow-up with a list of customer-initiated enquiries.
  • Profile and branding support on the event website and other related online channels.

The full program for the Australian F&B Showcase also included an in-market briefing with insights on market trends and business opportunities, featuring guest speakers, at the Australian Centre in Seoul, on Friday, 6 March.

Tasmania’s Trade Advocate in South Korea, Mr Jean Ough, was in attendance to support Tasmanian businesses participating in this event.

Tasmanian businesses who participated were

  • Australian Honey Products.
