Land Forces International Land Defence Exposition 2026
Overview
Tasmanian businesses and other defence-relevant entities are encouraged to submit an expression of interest (EOI) to join the Tasmanian delegation exhibiting at Land Forces International Land Defence Exposition, 6 – 8 October 2026, at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, Western Australia.
The Department has been coordinating a trade stand at this exposition since 2016, and several exhibitors have now successfully gained defence contracts worth many millions of dollars.
We encourage participation from organisations with existing defence contracts as well as organisations emerging in this space.
There are two options for participation in the Tasmanian delegation to Land Forces 2026:
As an exhibitor on the Defence Tasmania stand; or
As a ‘rover’.
Each exhibiting business will contribute $5,000+GST to the cost of the stand and event. This contribution helps to cover a modest percentage of the costs incurred.
The cost of displaying any large products on the stand will be in addition to this exhibitor contribution and will be partly met by the exhibitor. Please indicate you are interested when submitting your EOI, and our team will work with you to develop a solution.
Exhibitors will occupy a dedicated space on the Defence Tasmania stand to promote their products and services.
All exhibitors will receive the following:
professionally designed and custom-built Defence Tasmania trade show stand: fully managed by Building Tasmania
support from the Tasmanian Defence Advisor to directly connect them with decision makers and defence personnel of influence
dedicated display space on the stand and a 10000mm wide x 500mm deep lockable plinth for small products/merchandise
access to the on-stand meeting room and its facilities including charging facilities
invitation to Building Tasmania organised networking events
inclusion of imagery/logos in the stand design
printed directory of participating exhibitors
inclusion of their videos and imagery on AV displays
logo placements within the design
merchandise promoting Tasmanian industry
general assistance with exhibitors' participation before and during the event
inclusion in the Land Forces web-based portal, which provides B2B opportunities with visiting companies and delegations.
Exhibitors may have the opportunity to include large product displays within the stand design for an additional fee. However, due to limited space, all large product displays will be subject to a screening process.
If you would like to showcase large products at the Defence Tasmania stand, please indicate this in your Expression of Interest (EOI). Please note that if you are showcasing a large product, a company representative must be present to assist with the setup and takedown at the venue. This responsibility falls to you.
Space on the stand is expected to be in high demand, and the EOI process will be competitive. We encourage you to submit a comprehensive and well-prepared EOI, including as much supporting information as possible to assist in the review process. Due to the anticipated interest, it may not be feasible to accommodate all EOIs. Building Tasmania will select successful businesses based on the quality of their EOI, the market opportunities related to this event, and the overall strategic benefit to Tasmania.
There is no cost to attend the event as a rover.
Travel, accommodation and associated costs with attending are at the cost of the business.
Tasmanian businesses who are exploring opportunities in the defence sector but which may not be ready to take a space on the Defence Tasmania stand are encouraged to join the delegation as rovers. Rovers are not allocated space on the stand to exhibit, but can benefit from the connections and knowledge of the Defence Tasmania team as they explore opportunities at the event.
