Singapore Market Insights 2025
The Department and Trade Tasmania team hosted our Trade Advocate for Singapore, Ms Honey Fidden, on a visit to Tasmania in September 2025.
With experience in large scale public diplomacy initiatives and high-level ministerial visits, Ms Fidden has a diverse network of contacts and is well placed to help Tasmanian businesses achieve greater success in exporting to Singapore and the ASEAN region.
Tasmanian exports to Singapore totalled almost $40 million in the year ending June 2025, with food and agribusiness making up around 75 per cent of this, one of the highest shares among Tasmania’s top export markets.
Singapore is a strategic gateway into many ASEAN economies which are experiencing strong growth and increasing wealth, presenting new opportunities for our exporters into lucrative and influential international markets.
Singapore Market Insights Event
Ms Fidden presented valuable cultural and market insights to assist you in your exporting journey. This was a chance to learn about the drivers of growth in Singapore, and the wider ASEAN region and discover more about Trade Tasmania’s future priorities.
One-on-one meeting and site visit
Ms Fidden also conducted one-on-one meeting and site visits during her week in Tasmania. This was an opportunity for Ms Fidden to experience Tasmanian products/services firsthand and discuss opportunities and support required in the ASEAN region. One-on-one meetings were limited, and priority was given to businesses in key sectors named up in the Trade Strategy.
