Disability Access Plan 2024-25 (the DAIP)

The DAIP furthers the ongoing commitment to making the Department, and our services, more inclusive for our people and the Tasmanian community. The DAIP comprises 34 actions across the focus areas of Community Perceptions and Attitudes and Employment. Actions have been co-created with responsibility for implementation shared across the department.

The DAIP is informed by international, national, and state guidelines and legislation, including obligations under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Australia’s Disability Strategy and work surrounding the new Tasmanian Disability Inclusion and Safeguarding Bill 2024 (the Bill).

This summary version of the DAIP provides a simple overview of what the plan does.
