Food & Hospitality China – November 2024
The Tasmanian Trade Strategy 2019-2025 details a whole-of-government approach to build trade in key sectors, through sector-specific trade events and visits, in domestic and international markets. China is identified as an international market for broad trade engagement, and food and agribusiness is identified as a key sector.
Food and Hospitality China (FHC) – the 27th Shanghai Global Food Trade Show, was held from 12 to 14 November at Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). FHC is China’s leading showcase for imported food and beverages. Featuring 2,500 exhibitors from 30 countries and regions, FHC attracted 154,850 visitors in 2023.
In 2024, FHC provided an opportunity for Tasmanian businesses to generate leads, build relationships and increase brand awareness with importers/general agents, distributors, buyers from wholesale and retail outlets, and representatives from the hospitality and catering industries.
