Business Councils and Policy Institutes

Through the Trade and International Relations team, the Tasmanian Government holds memberships with respected international business councils and policy institutes. This engagement helps us to collect and share market intelligence, supporting Tasmanian businesses to be globally competitive.

In partnership with these organisations, we engage in industry roundtables, diplomatic visits and keynote addresses. We offer training in culturally relevant approaches to international business and connect Tasmanian exporters to in-market representatives and events.

We are active members of the following international business councils:

• Australia China Business Council
• Australia Indonesia Business Council
• Australia Japan Business Cooperation Committee
• Australia Korea Business Council.

We are also members of the Australian Institute of International Affairs.
